If you
invited me
over for black china tea
I would wear
all
my silks
every one - -
Amber
Chocolate
Russet red
The deep purple of an eggplant
Opalescent white,
Calla lily green
--
Layer upon layer,
their folds and ruffles
heaped around my legs
thicker
than the petals of a peony.
You could
peel back the layers
With teeth, blade or claw
Unlace the stays of
Every one if you so wished
Till only flesh remained,
Trembling
in the waterfall of fabric
lapping at our ankles
in little waves
of fractured rainbow.
There steeped in the
Scent of tea and
Dappled shades
We could eat toast.

Comments
Oh my!
But I've already told you how I feel about this one.
Only one quibble. You know me; I love to quibble.
The word is spelt "purple".

It's all rather confusing, really.
